I’m always slightly torn between “Yay… an extra hour of sleep” and “Boo… it’s dark when I get home.” The end of daylight saving time certainly curtails a lot of gardening activity for me. Any real gardening has to be done on the weekends and the weekends become so busy during the holidays. I used to stress myself out trying to get everything done in the garden before winter. You know what? It’s OK to let some things go this time of year. With cooler temps things grow slower, need less watering and bug problems aren’t so big. It’s OK to take a break. The garden is always still there in the spring.
